Bridget wrote that her academic advisor, Sarah, was an “all around outstanding human being. It would be an honor to meet her some day.” Meet they did. Sarah traveled to Bensalem, PA to deliver Bridget her diploma.
Two years ago, Terry saw a SNHU student receive his diploma as part of our first See Yourself Succeed Bus Tour. Inspired by it, he decided to enroll and finish the degree he started in 1979. Fittingly, we traveled to Lansdowne, PA to deliver Terry his diploma as part of our second See Yourself Succeed Bus Tour.
After seeing one of our commercials and talking to an admissions counselor, Krysta Mardon enrolled in the Masters of Science in Marketing program. Her first class – Ethics and Legal Issues in Marketing – was a struggle, but her professor, Dr. Suzanne Brock, helped her understand the concepts and succeed in the course.
Dr. Brock said she quickly recognized Krysta’s potential and was impressed by her determination and work ethic. “You always remember your really good students, and Krysta was definitely one of them,” Dr. Brock said.
Much to Krysta’s surprise and delight, we brought Dr. Brock to Chicago to deliver Krysta’s diploma in person. The two shared hugs and a mid-delivery selfie!
The Professor/Student relationship is a valuable and beneficial relationship, and it was a lot of fun to bring these two together for the first time like this. Congratulations to Krysta for all your hard work and for earning your MS in Marketing!
For Matthew Neely, the only thing better than receiving his Master of Arts in English and Creative Writing diploma, was receiving it surrounded by family, friends and coworkers- and to have it delivered by his advisor, Jen.
Though in communication for over a year, this was the first time Matt and Jen ever met in person. Immediately recognizing Jen’s voice, he was beyond grateful she came to Colorado congratulate him.
After celebrating Matt (and enjoying a slice of celebratory cake!), we headed north to Denver. On our way, we stopped at America the Beautiful Park in Colorado Springs to meet current SNHU student, SFC Casey Kendall.
SFC Kendall saw we were driving close to where he is stationed in the Army and reached out in hopes of meeting us personally. Currently pursing a degree in Marketing, he is determined to make the trip to New Hampshire to walk with the graduating class of 2018!
Though both Matt and Casey are each at different points in their journey, each is determined to achieve their own definition of success.
For us, meeting them made our trip to Colorado beyond successful.
Up next: San Francisco.
Tobaccoville, North Carolina — We love seeing our students rewarded for all their hard work. Congratulations on earning your degree, Stephanie!
After finishing her undergraduate degree, Stephanie jumped right into a master’s program. Cierra, Stephanie’s graduate academic advisor at Southern New Hampshire University, came to deliver the diploma in person.
Suzanne Rapoza recently earned her Master of Science Management in Healthcare Administration, but she couldn’t make it to graduation this May because of her daughter’s dance recital. So we took her academic advisor, Erin Davies, to Portsmouth, NH, and delivered Suzanne’s diploma.
Suzanne has worked at the Mark Wentworth Home since finishing her nursing degree 12 years ago. Her family, coworkers and the seniors she helps care for all turned out to celebrate her accomplishment.
